A fresh year is upon us.
How exciting is that?
Hopefully, you’ve dedicated at least as much time to thinking about your hopes and dreams, for the coming year, as you have to where and how you’ll be ringing it in.
I’m not talking about making New Year’s Resolutions. Yuck! Those things have the shelf life of raw sushi served up at a summer’s picnic.
I’m talking about sitting down and assessing what’s truly missing from your life.
Set aside 10 to 15 minutes, during this week, and ask yourself these three questions about the coming year:
- What could I do that would really make me feel alive?
- What, specifically, do I need to change in my Life?
- What action do I need to take, to start down my chosen path of transformation?
Be sure you’ve completed this assignment, before getting ready for your New Year’s Eve celebration. That way, you’ll know you’re serious about making a change in the coming year.
It’s the equivalent of an open book test. Only, this one is more significant than your average exam, because the questions, and answers, are about your Life. And where you want to go. And what you want to do. And, let’s not forget to ask, are you happy? Are you really and truly joyful, and thankful, when you think about your Life?
But, I know it can happen for you, because I’ve done it for myself.
The incredibly wonderful and powerful truth is this…you were born into this world, with everything you need to be happy and all the answers you need to change your Life.
The first step to your transformation is to know what you want.
So, this New Year’s, I’m throwing down the gauntlet. I’m challenging you to ask yourself those three questions, so you can find the Courage to Question, and have the Confidence to Choose and the Strength to Fight…to find your Power to Live.
I’d be honored if you’d share your answer to at least one of the questions. I thought it’d be fun if you’d share how you celebrate the New Year, too. Please use the form below, to reply.
