Three Questions that Can Change Your Life

A fresh year is upon us.

How exciting is that?

Hopefully, you’ve dedicated at least as much time to thinking about your hopes and dreams, for the coming year, as you have to where and how you’ll be ringing it in.

If you haven’t devoted time to clarifying your wishes and goals for the New Year, what, exactly, are you waiting for?

I’m not talking about making New Year’s Resolutions.  Yuck!  Those things have the shelf life of raw sushi served up at a summer’s picnic.

I’m talking about sitting down and assessing what’s truly missing from your life.

Set aside 10 to 15 minutes, during this week, and ask yourself these three questions about the coming year:

  1. What could I do that would really make me feel alive?
  2. What, specifically, do I need to change in my Life?
  3. What action do I need to take, to start down my chosen path of transformation?

Be sure you’ve completed this assignment, before getting ready for your New Year’s Eve celebration.  That way, you’ll know you’re serious about making a change in the coming year.

I know this won’t take longer than 15 minutes, because you already have all the answers.  Yep, they’re all inside you, waiting for you to ask your questions and make your choices.

It’s the equivalent of an open book test.  Only, this one is more significant than your average exam, because the questions, and answers, are about your Life.  And where you want to go.  And what you want to do.  And, let’s not forget to ask, are you happy?  Are you really and truly joyful, and thankful, when you think about your Life?

Only you can change you and only you can change your life.

But, I know it can happen for you, because I’ve done it for myself.

The incredibly wonderful and powerful truth is this…you were born into this world, with everything you need to be happy and all the answers you need to change your Life.

The first step to your transformation is to know what you want.

So, this New Year’s, I’m throwing down the gauntlet.  I’m challenging you to ask yourself those three questions, so you can find the Courage to Question, and have the Confidence to Choose and the Strength to Fight…to find your Power to Live.

I’d be honored if you’d share your answer to at least one of the questions.  I thought it’d be fun if you’d share how you celebrate the New Year, too.  Please use the form below, to reply.

Please click on the green ‘Share This’ button at the top of the post to e-mail, Tweet, or ‘Like’, to share this with others.  Thanks for your help spreading the word!

Connie,
As you know, thanks to you I’ve been keeping a gratitude journal daily for about 3-4 months now. I feel like I should do something with it as a way to ring in the new year. Any suggestions? Should I just reread it? Should I pick the top 10 and post them on the wall? Do you ever ‘reflect’ back on your gratitude journal? What do you do?

The beginning of the year! Read it too late! but I am here thinking deeply about your 3 questions. I think I might be game enough to try the first question.
What could I do that will really make me feel alive?
Right this very minute.
1) Re-dedicate myself to my gym classes
2)Eat healthy
Goal: With the 2 working together I will “Run and not be weary, walk and not faint”
Action: Paid 6 months joining fees
Purchase new walking shoes
Pack the fridge with fruits and vegies
A new water filter
Mind frame: I have the power within me to do it. Do it today!!

This is just one goal Connie. Wish me luck! Already excited about it. A year of health and fitness Yipeeee
